Louisa is a middle aged, mid sized mystery mutt who has been in foster for a year now. She came in with her puppies a year ago, and they all went to new adventures. Louisa is waiting her turn, and needs a special family with dog experience to find her. She is reliably house trained, crates very well for the workday, listens well and respects/responds to limits and boundaries. She enjoys the company of most dogs, although one senior female at her foster she is overly bossy with. She is good with cats. Louisa would thrive in an adult home who can manage her with men. She was previously very abused by a man, which is why she was taken away, and it takes her awhile to warm up to new guys, but she does and then loves them. However, on walks, with company coming over, etc she is not trusted with men she doesn&#039;t know. If you can manage that one part, she is otherwise very enjoyable to live with and love. Maya is a young adult female Poodle with a friendly and peppy personality, loves walks and being petted and sunbathing. Bella is a 10-12 week female Retriever mix puppy, fostered with kids and other pets, well socialized and well adjusted. BT (aka Betty) is 38lbs and a recent surrender due to a deployment. She is just turning 2 years old, and a consummate observer of life. If you are looking for a young adult who is smart and low maintenance, this might be your dream dog. She&#039;s quiet, house trained, has no issues with separation anxiety (that her foster mom has witnessed) and enjoys leisurely naps in the grass on spring afternoons. She&#039;s nervous of new people and homes for a few days, but settles in as trust is built. She isn&#039;t a lap dog, but rather prefers to lay on the floor near you. She is fostered with another dog and is comfortable taking a submissive role in the pack order. Her coat is a beautiful brindle and her brown eyes are windows to her sweet soul. She enjoys a good bath and wags her entire back half when she&#039;s really happy. She needs a fenced yard, but so far doesn&#039;t require daily walks, although we are working on leash training. Meet Theo and Teddy
Theo was caught in a neighborhood after being dumped with 2 other young cats 18 months earlier. Theo survived independently and had a few houses he frequented for food and shelter during that time.
It took a while, and Theo needs time to adjust to new people but loves to have his head scratched and rub against his foster&#039;s legs.
Theo is estimated to be 3-4 years old.
He is neutered. He has shared space in a home with numerous other cats and has loved every one of them. He is a beautiful white and black cat who deserves a forever home.
Teddy was caught in Jan of 2024 at the same time as Theo. We don&#039;t really know how he became a stray and he is still cautious of people. Teddy is a great tabby color, he has a shorter tail (unsure of when that happened). Teddy is pretty bonded to Theo and it would be great of these 2 were adopted together. Teddy is estimated to be 4 years old and is neutered.
He has lived the past year with other cats and been great with them.

Bowie is a Beagle with some baggage. Cute as can be, this young adult Beagle has a lot of Beagle traits (the bay, the enthusiasm for long sniffing walks, the passion for food, and wily smarts) but came to us with some serious resource guarding issues. He went through behavior rehab and is doing wonderfully, but without an experienced dog owner will revert back. He used to guard food, items he thought were his, and his sleeping space, and would react with a bite. At this point, in foster care, he allows us to handle him all over, take food and treats away, and move him. He needs an experienced owner to continue boundaries, training, and kind firmness. We adore him, we have no issues right now (except with cats, he hates cats). Bowie is house trained, crated when alone, loves walks, would do best with a fenced outside area, and we are highly recommending continued training classes. Socks the wonder dog is a 5 1/2 year old Border Collie/Lab mix with the best of both breeds. He is smart, very responsive to people, friendly, well mannered, and has this spark of almost human wisdom that makes you connect with him easily. He is house trained, does not require a crate, loves his toys, and highly enjoys doing zoomies in the fenced yard. He rides well in the car. Socks has not been a barker, choosing to do a quiet &#039;chuff&#039; sound when he hears something. Socks is good with visiting people and kids. He is used to sharing the couch, and thinks he is a lap dog... the closer he can get, the better. Socks is very content living as an only dog, although he has been polite when out walking and other dogs approach. He is NOT a dog park dog though, other dogs in his business annoy him and he prefers a level of decorum and manners when in the company of other canines. He has lived with outside cats, but not inside cats, so for right now we are seeking a cat free home. His favorite thing in the world are walks, and he walks like a gentleman. Truffle ( smaller one, eyes open) and her mom Pewter ( who you can see if not a fan of pictures, or really people for that matter) are seeking a calm and patient home willing to invest some time in winning over some kitties that have not been treated kindly by life. Rescued from the streets of Minneapolis, this bonded duo uses the litter box and scratching post, are quiet, and comfortable in a small space. Truffle enjoys pets at this point but is still afraid of being picked up, and Pewter enjoys her space and some good food. They have had an amazing foster mom who has brought them out of their shell somewhat and knows a dedicated home with time to work with them more is needed. Simon is a smart, mellower, good natured 4-5 month puppy who looks like a Schnauzer but is bigger.... likely around 35-45 pounds as an adult. Are you an active family looking for a high energy pup to keep up with your lifestyle? Maybe a dog with agility, obedience, or scent work potential? Then look no further. Diesel is a young Sheltie/Australian Shepherd mix (best guess) who is searching for a family who is willing to help him reach his full potential. We expect Diesel to mature to around 30lbs based on his current size. He is food/toy/treat motivated and is eager to learn. He has a relatively high drive when it comes to play, and could play fetch for hours if he could, and always has a toy in his mouth. He is always on the go, and always looking for his next adventure. Diesel needs a home who is specifically looking for an active dog to train and someone who understands and has previous experience with everything a high energy herding breed comes with (mental and physical stimulation are very important). Diesel is housebroken and crate trained on a schedule, and is fostered with other dogs, cats, and kids and loves everyone. He is a little nervous meeting new people when in new situations, but once he feels comfortable, he is ready to rock. Diesel does need a home with a physically fenced in yard, he is not the kind of dog who would do well on a tie out/leashed, and he is a runner if he gets loose. Another young, energetic dog in the home, as he spends a majority of his time actively playing and wrestling with the other dogs in his foster home. Theodore is a mellow, easygoing, kid loving pup who looks like a Schnauzer mix, but he&#039;s bigger than a Schnauzer already at 4-5 months.... so maybe a Schnauzer mix? Looking for a family companion? Sweet Duke is a young adult male Lab/Retriever/Border Collie mix ( best guess), about 50 pounds. While he still has the puppy playful side, he is overall a calm dog in general, and he loves being with kids and other dogs. He is initially a little shy but always gentle, and with a few days to settle in he is part of the family and you will wonder how you ever lived without him. Duke is house trained but did have a transition period to using the tie out instead of a fence, and is calm and quiet in his crate. He rarely barks. Duke can jump a 4 foot chain link fence so a higher fence or no fence is ideal. Duke loves walks and walks well, is very affectionate, and minds house rules like no dogs on the couch. His ideal home would be fun and loving, have a yard to play in and another dog or someone to do daily walks for adventures. Charlie is a one year old, 40 pound Boxer/Lab/Pointer mix who found the right porch to wander onto when he was dumped by his prior owner. He was allowed inside until he could come to rescue, and he enjoyed it greatly. Charlie is very dog social, gets along well with other dogs, and has met cats with curiosity but not aggression. He loves people of all ages as well. Charlie is house and crate trained. He is used to a fenced yard and while he loves his walks and playtime, he is overall a more mellow guy whose favorite pastime is couch time. He is highly skilled at cuddles and love. Jasmine is the sweetest, calmest, most loving fluffy kitty you will probably ever meet. She is a gentle soul, friendly and purrs all the time, and has so much calm and patience. Jasmine was surrendered to the vet when she kept getting &#039;backed up&#039; in her bowels and needed a surgery. The surgery was done, the meds plan and food were figured out, and she lives as a very normal kitty again with a mild laxative she takes daily and soft food. Her medical needs are around $30 a month, and that&#039;s less than you&#039;d pay for therapy you might not need with this sweetheart in your life. She loves to curl up on your body and purr and just so politely wants to be with you. Tina is a dog you either adore or think is creepy.... and we adore her. She came from a breeder who was done with her or couldn&#039;t use her, and she is possibly inbred.... possibly had some blunt force trauma to her head and jaw... possibly just quirky. She is sweet as can be, very quiet, and when she loves you, she LOVES you- the look of adoration on her face as she watches you constantly makes you feel quite important. However, she is shy with new people, and it takes her a day or two to warm up. Being cuddled and held is the quickest way to her heart, along with some Puperoni. Tina is great with dogs and cats, learning the house training, and crates when alone. Everything is new to her, she&#039;s learning steps, leash walking, car rides, that people are good. Tina also stands on her hind legs for extended periods of time waving at you when she sees you, and when she&#039;s super happy or nervous, she hunches up into a U shape while she wiggles her whole body. Octavia came to us after a vet clinic closed and she had been ruling the roost there for many months. She has shown how happy she is to be in a calm, quiet home where she gets to be the only pet. She really is bossy with other cats and dogs, and is so relaxed and content being the only cat in the home. She is awful in a cage though, will swat you with claws. This means first impressions are never great, and she needs someone to just bring her home on a foster to adopt trial.  Outside of the cage, she enjoys pets, canned food, toys, and just quietly and contentedly hanging near you. She tolerates being picked up, but really prefers to come sit on you, or just hang out. Atticus is a middle aged mixed breed, about 45 pounds, who has a tough past but he sure doesn&#039;t show it. He is always happy.  He loves to chase the squirrels and enjoys watching the birds at the bird feeder, he doesn’t bark or growl at the birds he just sits on the couch and watches them. He likes to lay on the couch and will cuddle with you if you invite him. He loves to sleep in bed with his fosters as well, no matter how little space there is. Atticus came from Mexico and was badly hurt, left to heal on his own. He had a broken pelvis and broken leg that healed on it&#039;s own. Maybe that&#039;s why he enjoys a soft bed and a warm loving home so very much. Atticus is a smart dog who responds very well to training. He enjoys other dogs, meeting people, and plays well with others. He is well house trained and crates when alone, although is graduating to more free reign then also.
