Bowie is a Beagle with some baggage. Cute as can be, this young adult Beagle has a lot of Beagle traits (the bay, the enthusiasm for long sniffing walks, the passion for food, and wily smarts) but came to us with some serious resource guarding issues. He went through behavior rehab and is doing wonderfully, but without an experienced dog owner will revert back. He used to guard food, items he thought were his, and his sleeping space, and would react with a bite. At this point, in foster care, he allows us to handle him all over, take food and treats away, and move him. He needs an experienced owner to continue boundaries, training, and kind firmness. We adore him, we have no issues right now (except with cats, he hates cats). Bowie is house trained, crated when alone, loves walks, would do best with a fenced outside area, and we are highly recommending continued training classes. Socks the wonder dog is a 5 1/2 year old Border Collie/Lab mix with the best of both breeds. He is smart, very responsive to people, friendly, well mannered, and has this spark of almost human wisdom that makes you connect with him easily. He is house trained, does not require a crate, loves his toys, and highly enjoys doing zoomies in the fenced yard. He rides well in the car. Socks has not been a barker, choosing to do a quiet &#039;chuff&#039; sound when he hears something. Socks is good with visiting people and kids. He is used to sharing the couch, and thinks he is a lap dog... the closer he can get, the better. Socks is very content living as an only dog, although he has been polite when out walking and other dogs approach. He is NOT a dog park dog though, other dogs in his business annoy him and he prefers a level of decorum and manners when in the company of other canines. Meet Mandarin. Terrible picture, and we are doing the best we can. He has since moved into an extra large dog kennel inside the house. Mandarin was a local stray who was trapped and vetted, and while we intended to vet him and put him back, he&#039;s too sweet. He is 9 months old, gets along with every cat he meets ( including cuddling baby kittens), never hisses or scratches, but is terrified of people. He hides every chance he can, and wants nothing to do with us yet. However, we were able to vaccinate and chip him, pick him up and move him, without any acting out. He is by all rights a feral cat who needs a super patient, calm, cat savvy person to welcome him into their lives. He uses the box reliably. Born 2017, a reliable litter box user and a stunning beauty, she is telling us in every way she can that her ideal life is with a single woman in a quiet home, and a home that respects her wish to be independent at times. She is a polite house guest, but she puts her whole heart into one person ( has been a woman) and considers everyone else an inconvenience. She would swat at the husband and has now started hissing at the toddler when he walks into the room.

Binx, formerly known as Survivor. Binx was the &#039;test cat&#039; at the shelter because of his easygoing, brave, outgoing personality. That meant he was used as the kitten to see which shelter dogs were cat-friendly or not ( safely) because he was fearless with the dogs and craves people&#039;s attention, so was freely moving around between big strange dogs there. NINE MONTHS. That&#039;s how long Sulu waited at the shelter for someone to say yes to her. She was picked up January of 2025, and has waited that long for someone to choose the black mixed breed dog who looks to be made up of assorted leftover parts, like a Dr Suess dog. Her body looks Lab, her face looks Border Collie, her tail looks Husky, her feet look Spaniel.... and none of it quite matches. It says a lot about her that she held it together for that many months, and it sure says a lot for the shelter who went above and beyond to keep her sane and safe. Sulu is quickly re-learning the house training, has not been a chewer, and LOVES the fenced yard and canine playmate. She passed a shelter cat test and greets new people politely, although after all that time she doesn&#039;t invest a lot into new people right off the bat... she&#039;s seen people pass her up for 9 months. Once she bonds though, she gives her whole heart. Penny is a 3 year old petite boxer/lab mix weighing about 38 lbs.  She is a shy, timid, quiet girl looking for a confident, patient person that can build her trust. Atticus is a middle aged to senior mixed breed, about 45 pounds, who has a tough past but he sure doesn&#039;t show it. Atticus came from Mexico and was badly hurt, left to heal on his own. He had a broken pelvis and broken leg that healed on it&#039;s own. He is pain free, but sometimes moves a little funny as the bones healed together at different lengths.  Maybe that&#039;s why he enjoys a soft bed and a warm loving home so very much. He is always happy. He loves to chase the squirrels and enjoys watching the birds at the bird feeder.  He doesn’t bark or growl at the birds, he just sits on the couch and watches them like it&#039;s dog TV. He likes to lay on the couch and will cuddle with you if you invite him. He loves to sleep in bed with his fosters as well, no matter how little space there is- there is always space for him, in his opinion. Atticus is a smart dog who responds very well to training. He enjoys other dogs, meeting people, and plays well with others. He is well house trained and crates when alone, although is graduating to more free reign then also. Diesel is a young Border Collie/Sheltie/Australian Shepherd mix (best guess) who is searching for a family who is willing to help him reach his full potential. We expect Diesel to mature to around 30lbs based on his current size. He is food/toy/treat motivated and is eager to learn. He has a relatively high drive when it comes to play, and could play fetch for hours if he could, and always has a toy in his mouth. He is always on the go, and always looking for his next adventure. Diesel needs a home who is specifically looking for an active, high energy dog to train and someone who understands and has previous experience with everything a high energy herding breed comes with (mental and physical stimulation are very important). Diesel is housebroken and crate trained on a schedule, and is fostered with other dogs, cats, and kids and loves everyone. He is a little nervous meeting new people when in new situations, but once he feels comfortable, he is ready to rock. Diesel does need a home with a physically fenced in yard, he is not the kind of dog who would do well on a tie out/leashed, and he is a runner if he gets loose. We were asked to help Lexus, who was set to be euthanized due to space on 9/3/2025. A volunteer at the shelter she is currently at asked for her specifically to be spared because they think so highly of her. She is a year old, about 40 pounds, gets along well with everyone. She is playful, but also aims to please, so settles well. Simply due to being a black mixed breed, and not a small breed, meant nobody ever asked about her. Lexus **Foster Needed**

Lilith is a gorgeous classic tabby kitten, about 10 weeks old, with an outgoing and social personality. She really enjoys having a feline companion, is living with big dogs, and is the perfect blend of play and snuggles. We realize she looks a little grumpy here, but she just got out of a van with about 50 dogs that all left the shelter with her. She likes wand toys, soft beds, open laps, and love. Lillith

Pewter, shy adolescent kitten who is very bonded to her mom Wren, is seeking a home with her mom if possible, and with a very patient adopter who will give them space, time, and a quiet place to decompress and learn how to be cats. She is very skittish with new people and change, but does need someone to take a chance on her and her mom, and love them from afar while caring for them and building trust. Pewter

Louisa is a middle aged, mid sized mystery mutt who has been in foster for a year now. She came in with her puppies a year ago, and they all went to new adventures. Louisa is waiting her turn, and needs a special family with dog experience to find her. She is reliably house trained, crates very well for the workday, listens well and respects/responds to limits and boundaries. She enjoys the company of most dogs, although one senior female at her foster she is overly bossy with. She is good with cats. Louisa would thrive in an adult home who can manage her with men. She was previously very abused by a man, which is why she was taken away, and it takes her awhile to warm up to new guys, but she does and then loves them. However, on walks, with company coming over, etc she is not trusted with men she doesn&#039;t know. If you can manage that one part, she is otherwise very enjoyable to live with and love. She&#039;s silly and very cuddly and listens well. She would do best with a fenced yard and when she has her daily visits to the hobby farm, she is in heaven and does very well there. Louisa

Benny is a 12 week old kitty. Fostered in a very social home where he has been handled and loved since birth, he&#039;s a playful and outgoing kitten who would be happiest adopted with a sibling or to a home with another playful cat. Benny is comfortable with kids and other pets. He would be perfct for someone who wants a dog-like cat who loves toys and playing. Our cats are adopted as inside only and we can teach you how to trim nails, as we do not allow declawing.

Sarge is an adult 3 year old &quot; mini Boxer&quot;, some blend of Beagle and Boston Terrier most likely, and he is a really, really great dog He is a solid 40 pounds, seeking a new home due to changing family dynamics. He has been well loved and cared for. Sarge lives with two young kids and another older dog he enjoys. He&#039;s an easygoing, peaceful fellow. Sarge is house trained, likes walks, and really enjoys his fenced yard also. He loves naps and curling up so he leans into you. Rigby is a neutered male  9 year old Hound/Bully mix who is a laid back mellow fellow, happy to lounge around and be your companion. He is dog friendly although after being attacked on a walk by an unleashed dog, he does prefer meeting dogs off leash. Rigby is house trained, not a chewer, doesn&#039;t bark often. He is seeking a calm adult home. A toddler grandson has moved into his current home and he really prefers to not interact with kids if possible.
