About Chester

Meet Chester, a 45 pound Hound mix, 3 years old. He is looking for a home where he can be part of the action most of the time. After an extended shelter stay ( it almost broke him, it was so long) he is sad being crated for long periods, and lets you know by howling in there. No destruction or even anxiety, just hoping for a home where someone is around a lot. Chester is a very friendly, submissive, happy dog. He loves to play with other dogs and is good with cats, but really focuses on pleasing his people. Leash manners are a work in progress. He is crate trained for the workday, but would prefer to not be confined since he spent a number of months in a shelter. He can be vocal, so an apartment with shared walls may not be the best fit for him. Chester is also fearful of loud noises, such as thunder and fireworks, and sometimes needs coaxing to go outside when its raining. He would love a fenced in yard and enjoys chasing/barking at squirrels. He is family friendly and perfect for someone who is drawn to the dopey happiness of a Hound mix. Chester was treated for heartworm and is healthy and ready to spend his life with someone or a family. Please email kladams4545@gmail.com
