About Isla

At just 9 months old, this Belgian Malinois mix is equal parts brilliance, chaos, and pure love. Isla has a true heart of gold and a deep desire to be part of her person’s world. She’s incredibly trainable and eager to learn—but she’s still very much a puppy, so while her brain is sharp, her decision-making skills are… a work in progress. We often have to step in and help her make the right decision, but she is after all only 9 months. ( These decisions are usually around what to chew, what to jump on, which dogs like her and which cats to avoid). Isla is house trained and kennel trained, and she gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and every human she meets. She’s social, affectionate, and thrives on interaction. That said, she’s also packed with energy and curiosity, so she’ll need an adopter who understands the needs of a high-drive working mix. Her ideal home will provide plenty of daily exercise, structured training, and guidance on how to settle and relax. Isla doesn’t just need to run—she needs someone committed to helping her learn balance, focus, and calm. A fenced yard is required so she can safely burn off that endless energy, and she would do best with another large, playful dog who can match her enthusiasm and help show her the ropes.
