About Astra

Astra is a 3.5-month-old, 15-pound female red merle Australian Shepherd (mix?) puppy with a resilient spirit and a heart of gold. At just three weeks old, she and her family were tragically thrown from a car window, but thanks to quick action and wonderful fosters, Astra was rescued and given a second chance. She is also a parvo survivor and is now current on vaccines, healthy, and thriving. Astra is fostered with kids and other pets and is a social, smart, people-pleasing puppy. She is learning house training, crates when alone, and loves engaging with her people. As a working-breed puppy, Astra needs an adopter who understands the importance of daily mental and physical stimulation, including training and structured exercise. A home with yard space is preferred. Astra will do best with someone committed to the needs of an active herding breed and ready to invest time in her continued training and development.
