About Sky

Don’t let his size fool you—Sky is a spirited little Chihuahua who lives life at full speed. He’s equal parts cuddle bug, athlete, and clever problem-solver, and he’s looking for a home that will appreciate all the charm (and mischief!) that comes with him. Sky loves his adventures. Walks and car rides are his absolute favorite, and he approaches both with enthusiastic determination—sometimes a little too much enthusiasm! He’ll need a secure harness (he’s basically a tiny escape artist) and a human who enjoys staying engaged on walks. Think of him as your personal trainer… just smaller and faster. At home, Sky is a surprisingly well-mannered gentleman. He keeps his chewing to his own toys (which he proudly destroys), doesn’t steal food, and has excellent house habits. He enjoys the finer things in life: cozy blanket piles, gentle massages, coconut oil spa treatments, and puzzle feeders that challenge his sharp mind. He’ll happily curl up at the foot of your bed after a day of being your shadow. Sky is very smart and already knows a handful of commands like sit, lay down, and crate (say it in a firm voice and he’ll march right in!). That said, he’s the kind of dog who likes to negotiate. He does best with consistent routines and regular reinforcement—if you let things slide, he’ll quickly test the boundaries again. He’s not being “bad,” just… confidently independent. Because of his quick reflexes and love of chasing small critters, Sky needs a secure yard and a watchful eye around doors—he’s got a bit of a “dash first, think later” philosophy. He’s also not a fan of rain and prefers his bathroom breaks with favorable weather conditions (don’t we all?). Sky bonds closely with his people and thrives in a calm, structured home where he can feel safe and pampered. He hasn’t spent much time away from his family, so he may need a little patience as he adjusts—but once he settles in, you’ll have a loyal, entertaining, and deeply endearing companion. Sky isn’t perfect—but he’s perfectly Sky.
