About Sky

Sky is an 7-8 year old male Rat Terrier/mystery mix who was adopted from us as a puppy and needing a new placement due to a change in his family's living. He has been successful both on a hobby farm as well as city dwelling, although if he spies an opportunity to slip out the door and run for a bit, he will. He does respect the fenced yard well, and loves walks. He is house broken, crate trained, knows his name and responds to basic commands with a treat for motivation. Sky is hoping for an adult home ( although he has done well with kids, he prefers adults) without a lot of people coming and going, someone who is home often and likes walks. He's social enough to be enjoyable out and about, but homebody enough that he doesn't require a walk daily. Sky has done well living with another dog, is respectful and a little intimidated by cats, and also been perfectly happy living alone. For an adult wanting a trained dog to enjoy who is a little more low key, he's the guy. He's a perfect companion for a work from home person especially.
