Meet Tank, the ultimate 2.5-year-old "low-gear but always up for adventure” lab who is officially ready to find his forever home and reclaim his title as a beloved family dog. If you are looking for a loyal companion who has mastered the art of the afternoon nap and prefers a calm stroll over a marathon, Tank is your guy. He does pull a bit on the leash and can be excitable about new people, but he is easily corrected. While he has spent his life as part of a pack and would absolutely love to have a canine sibling to hang out with (especially one where he doesn’t have to be in charge), our time fostering him has shown that he is also capable of being your one-and-only star, provided his new family is ready to lead with a kind but firm hand. Tank is a soulful boy who thrives when he knows exactly what the house rules are. He is looking for a leader who will keep up with his training and maintain clear boundaries, which helps him feel secure and relaxed in a busy household. Because he’s already crate trained and naturally low-energy, he is a dream in the house and doesn't require a constant whirlwind of activity to be happy. He’s much more interested in being your steady sidekick, hanging out nearby while the kids play or joining the family for a movie night. Though Tank has had a bit of a bumpy journey with a few false starts, his heart remains completely open and his tail is always ready to wag for his people. He just needs a savvy adopter who understands that a well-behaved Lab is a product of consistent structure, a little guidance, and lots of love.
