A Little Bit About Me

Meet Reba! Reba is a rescue who came up from down south. She is a large female lab mix, with a beautiful white apron and front legs. She is about 5 months old, 50-60 pounds and will be a big girl when grown. Possibly mixed with Great White Pyrenees? Some brindle in her coat. Maybe Great Dane? Border Collie? Whatever her DNA, Reba is smart, sweet-natured, and calm. She is a loyal velcro dog who wants to be by your side at all times. Rarely / never barks unless someone is outside (guard dog instincts in the house). She is working on her leash skills, but will walk (heel) right next to you with a leash dragging. Reba does not seem to need a lot of exercise and does well with 2-3 short walks a day. She loves to rest and sleep on her bed, loves hanging out on a restaurant patio. She naps a lot, and would be a couch potato if you had a couch big enough for her! Reba is almost potty trained with a schedule and is crate trained. She is pretty much past the puppy chewing stage, with chew toys available and crated when alone. As a puppy, she will need ongoing training. She is curious and friendly but timid around other dogs - especially if they play rough. We are working on socialization with other dogs in structured environments, and she does well with friendly predictable dogs. With people, on the other hand, she is very friendly and loving right from the first second, including kids. Please do the application at https://www.homewardboundrescue.com/preadopt
