A Little Bit About Me

Mia is a long shot in the rescue world, but we wanted to try... Six years old, Mia is a smaller Retriever mix who wants a quiet, calm home where she can have some space if she needs it. When out on walks and awake and feeling social, she greets strangers well, is friendly and happy. However, she takes her sleep very seriously, as well as her food, so her current home with kids is not working. Mia has snapped at kids over food or when startled awake. She sleeps VERY soundly. Mia has had some obedience training, likes walks, is house trained, and is overall a very calm and easy dog to live with. We are seeking a home with no kids, someone with some dog experience to call her awake and let her food be while she is eating, and someone who can give Mia the peaceful calm home she craves, and respect her when she asks for space.
