About Rosey

Rosey is the most beautiful, adolescent Shepherd cross. Weighing in at 40lbs & around 8 months old, we don't think this sweet girl will get much bigger. Poor Rose had a very hard start to life, being abandoned outside during the cold snap in November & then confiscated by a local animal control, where she waited for over a month before coming into rescue. Rosey unfortunately missed out on a lot of crucial time in her life when it comes to training & socialization. When she got to her foster, we found a mouthy, frustrated puppy who was never allowed to act like one. Now that she is settling in, she is turning into a really great dog. Rosey already knows how to sit & lay down & is super eager to learn new things. She is going to need a home 100% committed to further training & socializing. She does great with the other dogs in her foster home & loves to play with them. She loves laying & cuddling on the couch with her foster mom & dad. She can be a bit vocal in her kennel when first going in & again right away in the morning when she knows she's getting breakfast. She is 100% crate trained & hasn't had a single accident in her crate. We would say she is about 90% potty trained but is still on a firm schedule. As previously stated, Rosey is still a bit mouthy & jumpy. Because of this, we are requiring that she goes to an adult only home. She is way too much for small kiddos at this time. We are also strongly suggesting a home with a physical fence as the leash is still a bit scary for her. She would enjoy a home with someone who is truly looking for a companion dog. She is her foster parent's shadow & likes to be doing anything & everything with them. She loves toys & to run & play outside (as long as she is sure you're not leaving her out there alone). For a dog that was truly dealt the short end of the stick, she handles life so happily & just wants so badly to be loved & apart of her owner's life.
