A Little Bit About Me

Huck is a 9 year old Basset mix who was sadly surrendered by his elderly owner when he could no longer care for him. Huck was pretty depressed and lonely until he got to his foster home here, and now he is once again wagging and happy. He is house trained, not a chewer, rarely barks. Huck walks very well on the leash and enjoys car rides. He is good with other dogs but avoids young rowdy ones, and although he lived with a cat prior, we are recommending a no cats home. He is just a calm, gentle, loving dog. Huck would do best in a home with no stairs. He struggles going up and down them, and being the big guy he is, it will be difficult for most people to carry him. Huck is heartworm positive and being treated as part of his adoption.
